| This is a very stable type of drawn-thread embroidery that is worked in rows from right to left. Patterns of different widths consisting of eyelet ornaments and bars done in needle-weaving are worked between two outer rows.
Sample instructions: For each pattern row cut and remove 2 fabric threads (FT), leaving 2 FT. Bundle groups of 4 FT, i.e. one stitch is worked over 4 x 4 FT. You can also remove 3 FT and leave 2 FT, bundling 3 FT together, achieving a ratio of 5:3. This enables you to find different variations.

Embroidery thread: The weight or thickness of the yarn used must always match the gauge of the canvas. Wool is generally used on coarser canvas types. For tapestry there are special tapestry yarns and for fine canvases, even for petitpoint, divided embroidery floss is used.
